Dragonlance: The Legend of Huma Comic Book Contest
Posted on 8/15/2003
« Return to Feature list
All contestants will write anywhere from a minimum of 500 words or a maximum of 750 words about Huma. It can be about anything, be as original and as creative as possible. But knowledge of the book is a must and must be shown in the work. All entries MUST be posted on Roaring Studios' Dragonlance message boards.
The deadline for all entries will be September 14th. Then on September 19th three runner-ups will be posted on the boards by the three judges (Trampas Whiteman, Sean MacDonald, and Keith Williams). These three works will then be given over to Richard Knaak on September 22nd, and Mr. Knaak will post a WINNER on the board.
All work must be original. For example if contestant number one posts his or her work first then all other contestants work must be completely different from contestant number one and so on and so on.
So whether you decide to write a poem, expand on an idea of Huma's chivalry or even compare Huma/Gwyneth to Gilthanas/Silvara, I wish you all the best of luck.
The winner will get an original character sketch signed by the artist.
If you did not yet get a chance to read The Legend of Huma novel, there is still time. Run down to your local bookstore and pick one up. If there are any questions at all, please e-mail me at Ernst@roaringstudios.com
