http://www.lordsofwesteros.proboards107.com/index.cgi挺热闹的~呵呵 This game will be set in Westeros, two centuries after Robert Baratheon's rule as King, in an alternate setting where the rule of the throne passed to Edric Storm, who had previously been legitimized by Robert. The descendants of Edric Storm now rule Westeros, but with the great houses still largely intact.
Players play as one character in a great house of the Seven Kingdoms. Initially only the houses of the Wardens of the North, South, East and West will be playable.
To play as a character please use the model used on this board in the appropriate (obviously labeled) thread, and apply.
Also keep in mind that unless you are one of the first to sign up for a house, you will most likely not be the Lord of the House.
This game has an emphasis on teamwork, family strategy and intrigue. If you betray your family you do so while risking your own neck and reputation (likely endangering both). Because you may start as a lowly knight seeking fame or glory you may wish to serve in possible campaigns. Also just as possible- you may be interested in serving as a Maester and rising through the ranks in the Citadel to become an Archmaester. You could just as easily just become a successful, legendary pickpocket in King's Landing.
This is one of the most important rules of the game: Things are done through roleplaying posts called 'scenarios' which are stories ranging anywhere from 2 paragraphs to 2 pages. These scenarios will be posted in the "Library" where all can read them. They must be sent to and approved by me before I post them. I will judge the scenarios on realism. In addition, characters may gain skill in scenarios (such as if you are part of a major battle in which you take down several enemy combatants).
This is not to say that everything will be judged on realism...there are still skills. There are six levels of mastery to a skill: beginner, novice, apprentice, expert, master, legendary. Keep in mind that everyone starts from somewhere and anyone could potentially rise to legendary in any particular skill over time.
Speaking of time and as a quick note, one month passes per day.
Now, regarding skills: skills aren't by the books, though some of the more common skills are common knowledge (sword fighting, persuasion, battle, disguise, charm, etc). Use common sense with this. For example: you could suggest that your Maester is expert in Healing, meaning that he can get away with a great amount more in scenarios than someone who also selected "Healing" as a skill. Skills that are obviously the same (or very, very close) will be regarded as the same (such as sword fighting and blade mastery).
Also here is the rule for -near- skills:if you choose, for example, sword fighting as a skill you're expert in and you wish to have your character armed with a dagger, he will still be proficient in dagger-fighting, but two levels lower than usual. In the same way oration and persuasion are related.
Here are ideas for skills: Sword fighting, dagger fighting, mace fighting, spear fighting, staff fighting, bow fighting, axe fighting, persuasion, oration, charm, healing, horse-riding, translator (reading/speaking foreign/ancient languages), battle, blacksmithing, tailoring, preaching, stealth, disguises/disguising, infiltration, singing, musical instrument (state which instrument), stewardship, scouting, ambushing, skirmishing, running, climbing, hiding, pickpocketing,, etc
The way roleplaying will work is the following: Players in character creation will state their character's "second", a stat-less character who will just serve as one to roleplay through, and speak for your actual character if they aren't able to attend. (For example Lord Eddard Stark might have had Jory Cassel as his second).
This will allow players to interact, plot and scheme with others who aren't geographically near each other. Most of this scheming/discussion will occur in the King's Landing board.
I will post more rules, etc, here, but please now make your way over to the Character Creation Thread.

Been deserted in the streets of King's Landing, wrapping in a swaddling cloth with a black tri-head dargon on it, little Ray is raised up by a six-and-forty old whore until the year in which she died in a widely spread pestilence and famine. Though Raymond survived through these dark days, he has to feed himself by the age of six. Unsurprisingly, he becomes the Rat in the streets, stealing, pickpocketing and even robbing are the things he learns to earn his life. Although little people believe that he is the descendant of House Blackfyre, the silver straight hair covered his forehead and those purple eyes do suggest his royal blood.
As time passes by, Raymond has gained his reputation among the small folks, as well as the lordlings lignering around King's Landing. Being regarded as the best theive ever, Ray has realized that it is a much quicker way to make money as a hired theive than just pickpocketing around the streets. His clients ranges from merchants to mercenaries, from whores to high ladies. Even once, a hooked person asks him to steal something on the behalf of House Lannister. As he is a great secrete keeper and seldom fails his clientele, no matter what the mission is, the price for hiring him soars during the following years. There is even saying that if he retires at the age of fifty, he will be tenth as wealthy as Lord Baldwin Lannister. However, at the peak of his career, Raymond the Rat disppears from King's Landing overnight as he comes to this city. Rumors have been told that, this time he is trying to trespass into the Hand's Tower for a manuscript and is discovered. At the cost of his left eye, he manages to escape from the city by slaying one guard and heads his way to the Free Cities.
Years after that incident, a notorious fame of a swify galley called Sea Rat rises along the coast of the Narrow Sea. It is said that she is a ghost of night, storming the target ships and fading away in the fog. Anyone who is lucky enough to survive the loot claims that she has a captain with an obsidian left eye.
Character Physical Description:
Being a Blackfyre, Raymond has silver straight hair and purple eyes, which make him attractive to maidens. To mask his true identity, after fled to the Free Cities, he has dyed his hair into dark black and had a obsidian eye to replace his injuryed one. A bit higher than normal westlanders, he is slender but energetic.
Character Reputation: Being Ray the Rat, he is a legendary theive in King's Landing. Years after, smallfolks are still wondering that which House could be the one sending his to the Hand's Tower and what manuscript is so valuable. Being Raymond the Raider, he is a nightmare to the merchants sailing across the Narrow Sea. And he has lots of identities in Braavos, which are used to sell his lootings.
In addition, he has a high reputation among the courtesans, for his fortune, attractive visage and something else. 谁。。。谁来翻译一下?某英文白痴吐血中。。。
