原暗黑破坏神美工Keith Arlin Parkinson逝世<br><br>Keith Arlin Parkinson在经过与白血病魔抗争16个月之后<br>于2005年10月26日下午4点过（太平洋时间）安详的离开了我们<br>享年47岁（1958.10.22——2005.10.26） <br><br>仅此缅怀。<br><br>为这位曾经与Bill Roper、Chris Metzen等人一起带给我们暗黑破坏神这款游戏的伟大画家默哀。<br>不仅仅是暗黑破坏神，他的绘画成就在整个魔幻文化界都是举足轻重的！<br><br>我想，上帝在让这位工匠离开的时候没有让他承受太大的痛苦吧…………<br><br>祝这位拥有着一双神来之手的工匠能够在通往天堂的路上，一路走好…………<br><br><br>Metzen的缅怀书<br><br>Hey all – I just wanted to say a quick bit about Keith. I had the privilege of working with Keith on the original Diablo painting he did for Blizzard a few years back. The man was gracious, patient (with my super-geeky enthusiasm) and totally professional. His passion and vision for the piece (even though it was based on some geeky game series no one’s ever heard of) was evident in every conversation we had. Working with Keith – even on such a brief project – was definitely one of the high points of my career.<br><br>But beyond his status as a professional – Keith Parkinson had a massive influence on me as an artist and as a life-long fan of fantasy in general. I mean… I can’t really even put it into words how much I worshipped this guy's art as a kid… This is what I mean:<br><br>Lord Soth’s Ride<br>Flint and Sturm<br>Raistlin and Caramon <br><br>…this man – along with Elmore, Caldwell and Easley – opened the eye of my imagination to worlds that would stay with me my whole life. The Dragonlance saga remains one of my all-time favorite stories – in large part to Keith’s emotional, powerful renderings of these beloved characters. This is a very sad day for those of us who loved Keith’s art – and a sad day for fantasy in general. The genre has lost one of its principle visionaries.<br><br>The good news is – we’ll always have Keith’s images in our hearts and in our imaginations. His legacy will never fade so long as we hold on to the spirit, passion and wonder found in every one of his paintings.
